Panos Simou ● Chartered MCSI, FCMI
Head of Department
With over 45 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, Panos is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, a Member of the Dutch Restructuring Association, and a Member of INSOL-Europe. He often jokes about the time when he first joined the industry … apparently the dinosaurs were still walking the earth then. Over the decades, alongside the many years he spent in client-facing roles and dealing in the markets as a stockbroker, Panos has also established and managed a number of free-standing financial services departments for a number of firms. His coal-face experience also includes two appointments as a Compliance Officer. His passion outside the ‘day job’ had always been motorcycling and he has covered close to 1,000,000 miles during his 30 years of riding in all weathers, as well as training others in advanced riding techniques. During his biking days, he spent considerable ‘evaluation time’ in most hospitals in the South of England and has even tried out the helicopter air ambulance. Somehow though, Panos has never let the ‘day job’ ball slip. Having hung up his Arai some 5 years ago, these days he spends all his free time trawling through market news-flow and interrogating his Reuters terminal searching for valuation anomalies, reading through 500-page bond prospectuses, and looking under the bonnet of corporate bond issuers.

Alex Dunkley ● DipFA, ACSI
Independent Financial Adviser
With over 16 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, Alex is a qualified independent financial adviser from the London Institute of Banking & Finance and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He also holds an AAT accounting certificate and is an enthusiastic hands-on team member, having developed his client-facing skills and impeccable work ethos working alongside Panos and was responsible for the admin and logistics of the financial services department. At age 16 he was the youngest ever winner of the Southampton Singles Snooker Championship. Having attained a top-5 position in the country, he was also invited to represent England at senior level. Alex ran the Birmingham Half-Marathon in 2016 and the Great South Run in 2018. These days, his free time revolves around his two young sons.

Will Baird
Client Administration
With over 15 years of relevant experience in financial services, including some 3 years of number-crunching and credit control, Will joined our team some four years from Hampshire County Council to support the client admin and logistics function. He developed his client-facing skills supporting Insurance Brokers for Ageas and his attention to detail and ability to use initiative whilst working as a part of a team are essential ingredients for his role. He holds an FA level 1 coaching badge, enjoys parenthood, and in his spare time he plays football and golf. He has previously held a Liverpool FC season ticket for some 3 years.
